Welcome to mx5trackdayproject.co.uk, this is my MX5 project blog.
Last year I went on an Aston Martin Experience day at Silverstone Circuit. I enjoyed it so much I began to think about ways to repeat the thrill. This morphed into, “I wonder if I could do a few track days?” in the hope that this would give me longer on track and offer up different tracks over time.
I rationalised that this would give me a hobby and therefore something new to learn about and develop over time.
This blog follows a complete novice through the highs and lows of running with that idea as I slowly try to develop a Grand Touring MX-5 MK 3 to use on track days around the country; and the folly of disappearing down that particular rabbit hole.
